After Darkseid's Invasion

After Apokalips and Earth were melded into one planet, Darkseid killed most of the Justice League. He killed Nightwing and Catwoman right in front of Batman's eyes. he then corrupted him into becoming the General of his Army. Batman remembered the deaths of his loved ones, and that fueled his rage and ambition to do whatever it is that Darkseid wants him to do.
