- Pre-Exiles: Hank was a mad scientist who awakened his dormant X-Gene and became the Beast. He started working at the Xavier School until he left with Magneto to join the Brotherhood.
- Post-Exiles: Beast went with Magneto to Genosha where Magneto put him in charge of the Brotherhood.
