Childhood[]
Blade was born to a human woman and the vampire, Dracula. His mother raised him until he was seven. Dracula returned and killed her. He expected Eric to join him in his rule, but he refused, saying he will one day kill Dracula.
Vampire Slayer[]
As Blade grew older he trained himself and harnessed his vampiric powers. He was worshipped by a clan of vampires for his ability to survive in daylight. In order to claim his title as vampire slayer, he killed the clan and left for Transylvania.
Transylvania[]
Blade battled his father and gained the upper hand since the sun was rising, but Dracula was full vampire so he brought Blade down underground where he proceeded to beat him up. Blade managed to stake Dracula in the heart, but his years of survival had allowed him to adapt. Blade used his training and got Dracula into the sunlight and he was temporarily killed.
Defenders[]
When Blade returned to America, he ended up teaming up with four other heroes and joining the Defenders.
