After the X-Men got into a huge argument and almost a fight, Professor Xavier sent them to his other mansion on a mountain where he is forcing them to spend two months with each other so they can learn to get along. Scott began spending time with Emma, but he maintained his relationship with Jean. When she told him she was cheating on him he went ballistic and tried to kill Wolverine. Jean and Emma restrained him and he broke up with Jean. He then became friends with benefits with Emma, making sure he wouldn't fall in love with her.
