History[]
Taking Punishment[]
Cletus's father was a serial killer who died before he reached prison. So his son was taken and forced to serve his father's life sentence. Cletus grew up in prison, becoming a die-hard American, believing he deserves his punishment.
Military[]
Cletus was let out for good behavior when he was twenty-one, but he was already insane. He joined the military and caused the deaths of 45 people, 28 of which were American soldiers, 4 of which were innocents. He was taken to jail again.
Carnage[]
When the battle between the Thunderbolts and the Avengers reached Ravencroft, Venom created his spawn which bonded to Cletus. He attacked the other prisoners, claiming he is doing America a favor.
Most Wanted Man in America[]
After killing several people under the alias of Carnage, the Thunderbolts began tracking him. he also got on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar and the Avengers were sent after him. He was able to manipulate his symbiote into creating five spawn. They bonded to Hulk, Elektra, Black Panther, Deadpool, and Wolverine. Eventually Spider-Man got involved and he was able to defeat Carnage.
