After Bruce Banner became the Hulk, he sided with the government and became a national hero. He became engaged to General Ross's daughter, but he was unfortunately killed by Loki. Ross volunteered to become the new Hulk, but he was turned into a red mutation. He fulfilled his duty as the new Hulk and he joined the Avengers.
